The shade shifting spider is having a little picnic in the back yard inside the flower of a Rhododendron ponticum. I went back yesterday to see if it was still there. I disturbed it while it had just gotten hold of a nice juicy fly. Very interesting to see it has those two tiny pincers in front, its venomous glands firmly dug into the soft spot between the flies' faceted eyes and exo-skeleton. All of its eyes on the lookout for any predators.
If I made a sudden move, it moved too, pray and all.
